Summer Programs

Get fired up for our hot summer programs of 2017!

A Joyful Noise Music Studio is excited to share the wonderful world of music with your children throughout the summer months. We are pleased to offer a variety of fun music camps for students between the ages of 18 months through 18 years. Our unique and educational music programs have been developed with a deeply rooted passion to nurture and inspire every student’s potential for growth in a positive environment.

Summer Songwriting Camp

This two week summer camp will give students the unique opportunity to learn and write songs in a fun group environment.  Students are placed into a group based on age, and are taught the basics of writing lyrics to accompany the lyrics, and finally recording their songs to be put on an album.  Students have the opportunity to design all their own artwork for their band and the album they record.

Ages: 8 Yrs and up

Cost: Full Session: $300 or Mini Session $100

Mini Session June 19-June 30th, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11-1 PM
Full Session  August 14-25th, Monday through Friday from 10-2 PM

Bucket Drumming

This is a group class your whole family is bound to enjoy. Why not learn together?  Whether you are a beginner who wants to learn the basics of rhythm or are a seasoned drummer looking for a change of pace – Bucket Drumming is the class for you!  Students will develop essential musical skills in a unique and exciting way- while learning techniques that are simple to comprehend.  No prior musical experience necessary.

Ages: 8 Yrs & up Families Welcome

Cost: $10 per class (plus $25.00 fee for registration and material)

Maestros Mini & Accelerated

Mini Maestros
This course is a place where your child will grow into the young musician they were meant to be. No Music background required. Introductory topics in music history. Topics covered will include basic harmonic analysis, solfège-oriented aural sills training, introductory topics in music history, and more.

Accelerated Maestros
If you or your child have experience in music and want to take your abilities to the next level, this is the program for you. This course aims to advance your knowledge in advanced harmonic analysis, basic counterpoint, sight-reading skills, and more.

Ages: 6-up

FUNdamentals Of Music

Introduction to the basic concepts of music.  This is a small group class that nurtures musical abilities and appreciation for music. (Includes games, singing, dancing, and the use of introductory instruments).  Class meets Wednesdays and Fridays.

Ages: 3-12 years

Music and Movement

The incorporation of music and movement allows your child to develop a deeper understanding of rhythm and the fundamentals of music in a multi-sensory learning approach. Allow your child to discover the magical musical world in an environment that is natural to early childhood development. This class is designed to encourage creative expression, language development, listening skills, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and social interaction.

Cost: $120 per session
Ages: 18 months- 5 Yrs
Session Dates:
June 6-July 11, Tuesdays, 10-11am (18 months-3 yrs) 11am-12 (3 yrs-5 yrs)

Musical Theatre Workshop

In this 2-week session, focus will be placed on characterization, vocal technique, and choreography. This workshop is designed for students who wish to develop skills in acting, team building, and singing on a musical theatre stage. Students will participate in an ensemble chorus number and have the opportunity to perform in a solo or duet. At the end of each session, students will perform a 30 minute high-energy showcase for friends and family that contains repertoire from classic and contemporary musical theatre.  No prior experience necessary.

Vocal Health And Performance

Revealing the Voice: This class will cover many topics necessary for a student of voice—many of which may not be typically discussed in day-to-day lessons. The importance of vocal health and how to care for the voice, the basic anatomy of the larynx, how to audition and the audition process, and other topics covered in our time together. The students will also have opportunities to perform in a studio setting, receiving immediate feedback.

A Cappella Palooza

Learn to perform contemporary pop music hits in A Cappella style. Specifically designed to feature a musical style similar to the Pentatonix – the hit TV show “The Sing Off” and the film “Pitch Perfect.” Instruction will incorporate stage movement, solos, harmony, beat boxing, & more.

Cost: $75 per session
Age: 10-18 years

Fenton Summer Winds

Designed to serve as a “fill in the gap” for regular concert season.  Wind and brass players will rehearse various classic and contemporary pieces within an ensemble.  Previous experience preferred in Band, Orchestra, or Private lessons.

Ages: 13 Yrs & Up
