Robert Marr, Guitar

Robert Marr has been a resident of Fenton, Deerfield Township for the last 20+ years. His first memory of music related stuff was a photo of him decked out in his cowboy outfit and holding his ukulele. He’s been told that he used to sing Beautiful Brown Eyes while playing the uke. That was at the age of 4. (You can see that photo at www.myspace.com/robertmarr on the left side of the page.) Bob had spent several years playing guitar and singing in a rock band when he was younger (that’s all he’ll let me say about that). Somewhere in the last century, he made the flop from electric to acoustic, and enjoys playing just about anything with strings. Banjo is an instrument he really enjoys, and is happy to return to teaching the 5-string. Today, as a singer/songwriter, Bob uses primarily the 6 and 12 string guitars, but has been known to pull out the banjo, fiddle, mandolin, bouzouki for his albums. He wishes the tin whistle had strings because he really wants to play one.
